Some bio information about Dianne …
Dianne Auger is Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for St. Vincent’s Health Services and President & CEO of the St. Vincent’s Medical Center Foundation. Dianne joined St. Vincent’s in June 2012. Dianne is responsible for leading system strategy and advocacy and as President of St. Vincent’s Foundation, she directs the planning and execution of all fundraising efforts for St. Vincent’s Health Services, including the SWIM Across the Sound and St. Vincent’s affiliates.
Since joining St. Vincent’s, Dianne has brought a fresh perspective to the critical strategic planning required to enhance the organization’s position in the state as a leader in the transformation of healthcare delivery and she has proven herself to be a strong advocate for St. Vincent’s on legislative activity at a time of great turmoil and challenge to the entire healthcare industry. Because of her visionary leadership style, Dianne was invited to participate in Ascension’s Leadership Academy for senior executives and is a recent graduate.
Prior to joining St. Vincent’s, Dianne served as regional chief executive officer with the American Red Cross, Connecticut and Rhode Island and interim regional chief executive officer for the Greater New York Region headquartered in New York City. There, she managed delivery of service, fundraising, government relations and operations of the largest strategic region in the country, serving 13 million residents.
A native of Bridgeport, Dianne is no stranger to the needs and issues of Fairfield County and its residents. Prior to her 13 years of service with the American Red Cross, she was director of business development and administration for Ahlbin Centers for Rehabilitation Medicine in Bridgeport, vice president of marketing and development for the Discovery Museum and served as a vice president for People’s United Bank in Bridgeport.
After earning her MBA with a concentration in management and marketing from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Dianne served as director of corporate relations and annual giving for the University. She is currently vice-chairman of the Board of Directors for Sound View Community Media in Bridgeport and serves on the Board and Executive Committee of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council (BRBC).
Dianne has earned considerable recognition for her passionate servant leadership. She is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and past President of the Bridgeport Rotary Club and has been the recipient of numerous leadership awards, including the American Red Cross National Presidential Award for Excellence, the BRBC Susan L. Davis Women’s Leadership Award, the BRBC Impact Award and the Women of Power Award from the Urban League of Southern Connecticut.
