A former member of the Rotary Club of Fairfield, Tony officially rejoined the Club on Monday, October 12, 2026. His return represents a renewed commitment to Rotary's guiding principle of Service Above Self and to the fellowship, community engagement, and charitable initiatives that have been hallmarks of Fairfield Rotary since 1939.

Tony Hwang is a longtime Fairfield resident, community leader, and Connecticut State Senator representing Connecticut’s 28th Senatorial District. His career in public service spans more than two decades, beginning with service on Fairfield’s Representative Town Meeting in 2005, followed by election to the Connecticut House of Representatives and, in 2014, to the Connecticut State Senate.

A graduate of Cornell University, Tony built a successful professional career before entering public service. Throughout his legislative career, he has focused on issues affecting Connecticut families and communities, including education, healthcare, public safety, environmental protection, and fiscal responsibility.

Tony's dedication to community service extends beyond his responsibilities as a state legislator. Over the years, he has supported and worked with numerous local organizations and community initiatives, reflecting his longstanding commitment to volunteerism, civic participation, and improving the lives of others.

Tony and his wife, Grace, have raised their two children, Christina and Peter, in Fairfield, where the family has established deep roots.

The Rotary Club of Fairfield is pleased to welcome Tony back into its membership and looks forward to his continued involvement in advancing Rotary's mission of creating lasting, positive impact in our community and beyond.
